Faculty Member, World Languages Department
About
I kicked off his new academic career by studying Organizational Management, and then went on to earn a degree in Journalism from Suffolk University in Boston, as well as a graduate degree in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations
Besides working for Harvard University as an assistant researcher; I was also involved in a number of social science research projects with Cambridge Institute of Health, producing research that bolsters advocacy tools for Immigrant and minority communities.
Some of my achievements span many areas, chief amongst them was founding the Arabic- English “Al Arab News” newspaper that catered to Muslim Americans and propagated the importance of civic engagement. I am also the founder of The Moroccan American Civic and Cultural Association (MACCA), a volunteer organization that emphasizes the importance of volunteerism and the quest to reach the highest level of mainstream society. I also serve as a Board Director in one of Massachusetts largest cap agencies whose mission is to fight poverty, eradicate homelessness, and empower minority groups.
I have been invited to speak at many international conferences especially in the area of Cultural Diversity and interfaith Dialogue. My goal is to build a coalition of an interfaith and intercultural organization where everyone’s interest is equally represented.
I am currently researching the subject of Bi cultural stress as it relates to first and second generations immigrants especially among teenagers and young adults.
